[ THE COMPANY ]

A whole life.
A business built to adapt.

MARSA works on two questions the AI age brings into focus: how to build a business that stays useful, and how to live well as the world changes. Founded by Seçil Sayhan, it brings research, writing and practical systems into the same company.

MARSA · A whole life. A business built to adapt. Founded by Seçil Sayhan, researcher and writer with a background in business and health psychology. Explore Human for daily practice, Business for AI systems, and Resources for the writing and evidence behind the work.

[ THE THESIS ]

One purpose.
Two kinds of work.

A business needs people to trust it. A person needs a life with room for health, relationships and meaning. Behaviour matters to both, but neither can be reduced to an optimisation problem.

What moves a person is what moves a business.

We build AI systems around real operations and human decisions. Alongside them, we publish research-informed writing and programmes for everyday life. Each side has its own methods and responsibilities.

WHERE THE THESIS COMES FROM

Seçil’s postgraduate research in wellbeing sits alongside a background in business and her own experience of rebuilding daily life. Together they shaped the question behind MARSA: what does it take to live well, as well as do well?

That question matters as people reconsider their work, their attention and where they belong. The ability to make a living and the ability to live are related, but they are not interchangeable.

MARSA’s thesis is that learning to live well deserves sustained practice, and that technology should support a person’s agency. A business should serve real needs while giving the people behind it room to live.

The work begins in ordinary days: a conversation, a routine, a decision about what deserves your attention. Those are places to practise, not evidence that we can predict someone’s future.

The research and its limits are documented on the research page.

01   WHY NOW

AI changes the cost of some tasks. That creates choices about where people spend their time. The right answer depends on the job, the risks and the customer.

02

More output still needs judgement. A business needs to decide what is useful, check what is true and take responsibility for what it delivers.

03

A whole life needs attention. Relationships, recovery and meaning do not become less important when software becomes more capable.

[ WHAT WE BUILD ]

Human & Business.
Two ways to start.

Choose the need in front of you. You do not need to buy one side to belong on the other.

MARSA FOR BUSINESS  /  SUBSCRIPTION

The ten that run the business

Six engines grow it — Lead finds and reaches the right people, Follow-up converts them, Onboarding turns a first order into a looked-after customer, Retention keeps them, Reputation asks for the review and handles what comes back, Front Desk answers everything. Four run the operation behind it — Ads, Content, Storefront and Back Office. Configured on the client's own data in about a week.

[ THE FOUNDER ]

Seçil Sayhan

An autoimmune disease made the question personal for Seçil while she was young. Having a life that looked right on paper was not the same as feeling able to live it.

She spent the following years exploring what makes people thrive, through study, writing and practical work. Business Management and Clinical Health Psychology gave her different ways to examine the same day.

Building her own company brought another question: how could a business work without consuming every part of its owner’s life? The operational systems began with that practical need.

That is the connection between the two sides of MARSA: the work you build and the life you are building it for.

The business work turns a strategic question into an operational one: what should stay with a person, what can be systematised, and how will we know it helped?

The human work turns research and reflection into everyday practice. Its purpose includes the parts of life that never appear on a business dashboard.

Researcher describes the questions she investigates. Writer describes how she makes the work accessible. Founder describes the responsibility of turning it into something people can use.

Strategy is how those roles meet: deciding what matters, what to build and what to leave alone.

Purpose belongs in that conversation. Ikigai can be a reason to get up that has nothing to do with a career or an income. A whole life makes room for those reasons.

Her lived experience is part of the origin of the work, not proof of a treatment. The research informs the methods; the sources and their limits should remain visible.

A meaningful ambition can coexist with an ordinary, enjoyable day. Neither needs to wait until the other is complete.

MARSA is where she brings those commitments together: researching and writing about life in the AI age, and building systems around the work.

Her background combines consumer-behaviour marketing, business ownership and postgraduate research in wellbeing. The company draws on that combination without claiming that one discipline explains everything.

The ambition is shared by both sides: build something worthwhile, with a life you want to be present for.

The future of work is more life.

[ WHAT'S REAL TODAY ]

Already running.
Counted, not promised.

A health e-commerce client runs on this platform end to end, every day — all ten engines and one custom build, none of it a pilot. These are the numbers as they stand.

10/10

engines running a client's business end to end, every day — plus one custom build

191

peer-reviewed sources behind the method, published openly

~7

days from approved audit to a first engine live

Client results will appear on this page with names on them — not before.

[ HOW WE WORK ]

Four rules we don't break.

If it isn't a clear win, we don't build

Every engagement starts with an audit that maps the opportunity and the price. If the numbers don't work, we say so and walk away — no invoice, no pitch. It costs us deals. It is the reason the ones we take work.

The price is written before the work

The audit names the number before anything is built. Wording and rule changes are included after, month to month, and leaving costs nothing. Nobody discovers a fee here.

A human keeps the last word

Nothing publishes, refunds, or commits under a client's name without the gate they set. When an engine isn't sure, it asks instead of inventing. Autonomy is the goal; unsupervised authority never is.

The free tier is genuinely free

The protocols, the tools, the hundred-plus articles, the bibliography — open, with nothing to buy attached. If someone only ever takes the free half, the mission still worked.

[ WHERE THIS GOES ]

A long view.
Practical work today.

Our long-term thesis is that judgement, trust and the ability to learn will matter as AI capabilities change. We build towards that thesis; no business or person is immune to change.

The business side earns through implementation and ongoing operation. Human earns through self-directed tools and programmes. Open writing lets people engage with the ideas before buying anything.

We judge progress in two ways: whether the business work solves a real operational problem, and whether people find the human work useful in their lives. The next decade is a direction for the company, not a promised customer outcome.

A business worth building. A life worth being present for.
